Workshop in Barbados
Brian will be
teaching a Free, 5 day, outdoor painting workshop on
the beautiful Caribbean Island of Barbados. Part of
an International cultural and artistic enrichment
program entitled “Paint Me Barbados” it is designed
to be cross cultural. The workshop will be open to
both local students and students from afar, and of
all levels of experience.
But that's not all.
Designed to be the Ultimate Art Experience there
will be additional workshops with International
Instructors in watercolor, pastel, animation,

Mayor's Show
Minneapolis Mayor R.T.
Rybak is hosting a show of Brian's paintings in the
Mayor's Office and
Conference Room, City Hall, Downtown Minneapolis.
Part of the Art in the Mayor's Office Exhibition
Program, the exhibit in this grand, historic
building is open to the public and can be
viewed from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, weekdays from
November 2 through December 31, Rooms
#331 & 333, 350 South 5th Street. The paintings are
Minneapolis subjects, large and small and
available for collectors.

Settler's West
Miniature Show
For the 5th year Brian is
participating in this prestigious miniature show,
February 2010 in Tucson,
AZ. Many of the countries best representational
painters are part of this great show and
you can find wonderful paintings 9 x 12” and
smaller. Shown above is “The Resting Place”

Stickley
Portrait at Craftsman Farms
Brian's
posthumous portrait of Gustav Stickley, leader of
the American Arts & Crafts Movement, has found a
home at Craftsman Farms and the Stickley Museum in
Morris Plains, NJ. Stickley was the leader of the
American Arts & Crafts movement as well as designer,
furniture manufacturer, publisher, writer,
humanitarian and thinker. He is accurately portrayed
down to his abbreviated right thumb lost in a
woodworking accident. 39 x 50”, oil on canvas in a
Stickley inspired frame by the artist of
quarter-sawn oak inlayed with his “Als Ik Kan” (All
I Can or The Best I Can) motto.

Governor Continues to Exhibit
Brian’s Work
Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and
First Lady Mary Pawlenty continue to show Brian’s
paintings in the Governor’s Mansion in Saint Paul,
MN. Shown here in the library in front of Brian’s
painting “The Grand Excursion”, a historic event and
Mississippi River scene which is a fond subject of
Brian’s.
